The Opportunity

A State Government Department is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Procurement Support Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. Procurement experience is not mandatory, and full training will be provided; however, candidates must demonstrate strong attention to detail, solid computer skills, and a willingness to learn.

This role supports procurement activities across the organisation and contributes to the effective delivery of goods and services for regional operations. About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting a range of procurement-related projects, including research, analysis, and reporting
  • Ordering materials and processing purchase orders, work orders, field release orders, and related documentation
  • Assisting with the development and delivery of procurement training and induction programs
  • Supporting the creation and maintenance of training materials and skills frameworks
  • Coordinating contractor meetings, including scheduling, minutes, and presentation support
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislative and departmental procurement requirements
  • Promoting procurement as a key business function across the organisation
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate procurement documentation and records
  • Demonstrating professionalism and positively contributing to team culture and continuous improvement

You are a motivated and organised professional who is eager to learn and takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail.

You will bring:

• Strong computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office Suite
